Even though February is one of the shortest months, Gameball has packed it with a host of exciting product releases! This month is loaded with significant updates designed to bring real benefits to your business. Dive in to explore the product updates from February 2025 and see what’s new!
1. Introducing Quiz Campaign

An engaging, interactive game that lets your customers test their knowledge, earn points and unlock rewards such as discounts, exclusive content, and promotional offers. This new campaign is designed to boost interactions and increase engagement through a gamified learning experience.
Here are some use cases that might help you benefit from this feature:
- Brand-Sponsored Quizzes: Collaborate with brands to sponsor quizzes, featuring their products or services in the questions and offering branded rewards to participants, creating a co-branded marketing opportunity.
- Seasonal/Theme-Based Campaigns: Launch quizzes related to seasonal events or special holidays (e.g., Valentine’s Day, Black Friday) with themed questions and exclusive offers.
- Educational Content Promotion: Create quizzes that educate customers about your products or industry, reinforcing brand expertise and rewarding participants with special incentives.

2. Introducing Calendar Campaign

Another gamified reward campaign! The Calendar Campaign empowers you to create and manage multiple interconnected or independent campaigns, offering complete control over scheduling. Each campaign consists of entities (sub-campaigns), which can be customized based on the customer’s needs.
Here are some use cases for this campaign:
- 30-Day Trivia Challenge: Engage your audience with a daily trivia game for 30 days. Participants answer a new question every day, keeping them excited and consistently interacting with the campaign.
- Daily Engaging Game: Keep customers engaged with a new game each day. The campaign offers a mix of exciting experiences, such as Spin the Wheel, Slot Machine, Trivia Quiz, and Scratch and Win (coming soon). This variety ensures daily excitement and sustained participation throughout the campaign.
- Weekly Engaging Game: Introduce a new game each week to sustain customers' interest and interaction. Weekly games can vary in style and mechanics, offering fresh experiences to participants.
- Sponsored Game: Collaborate with brands to sponsor specific games. These games will feature full branding integration, including logos, icons, rewards, and custom visuals. For example, an Adidas-sponsored game could include Adidas-themed graphics, exclusive rewards, and tailored branding throughout the experience.
3. Dynamic Event-based Variables in Communication Campaigns

We’ve enhanced Gameball’s communication campaigns by allowing event-triggered messages to dynamically incorporate event properties into their content. Whether you're sending an email, web message, push notification, or SMS. You can now use event-specific data as variables within the message body. This update is handy for transactional messages ensuring that every communication is relevant, personalized, and context-aware.
Use Cases:
- Subscription Renewal Completion with Personalized Details
- Send an automated renewal thank you message via email, push, or SMS, including customer-specific details like the subscription plan name, ID, and the amount charged.
- Example: "Hey [Customer Name], your [Gold Membership] subscription was renewed successfully for [Amount] and your payment ID is [Payment ID]. Enjoy our uninterrupted benefits!"
- Shipment & Delivery Updates with Live Tracking Links
- For e-commerce stores, dynamically insert tracking numbers, estimated delivery dates, and tracking links in emails and SMS.
- Example: "Your order [#Order ID] has been shipped! 🚚 Track your package here: [Tracking Link]. Expected delivery: [Delivery Date]."
This enhancement bridges automation and personalization, allowing businesses to send smarter, more meaningful messages at the right moments.
4- New Automation Trigger: "Automation Completed"

We’ve expanded Gameball’s automation capabilities with a new "Automation Completed" trigger. Now, you can seamlessly link multiple automation, ensuring a smooth transition from one workflow to the next. With this update, when a customer completes an automation, you can automatically trigger the next one, eliminating manual intervention and enhancing engagement.
Use Cases:
- Progressive Onboarding Journeys: Guide new customers through a structured onboarding experience by triggering the next step upon completion of the previous one. For example, once a customer completes their profile setup, they can be automatically enrolled in a tutorial about earning rewards.
- Tier-Based Rewards System: Encourage deeper engagement by unlocking exclusive benefits as customers progress. For instance, after a customer completes a milestone (e.g., making their first purchase), they can be automatically added to a VIP automation that grants them bonus rewards.
- Reactivation Campaigns: Keep customers engaged with a multi-step retention strategy. If a customer completes a re-engagement campaign (e.g., responding to an email incentive), they can be seamlessly transitioned into a follow-up automation that offers a personalized discount or gamified challenge.
This enhancement ensures a fluid, connected customer journey, allowing you to build dynamic, multi-stage automation workflows that drive engagement and retention.
5. Spin the wheel Customizations & Campaign Preview

We’ve taken Spin the Wheel to the next level with enhanced customization options!
Key updates:
- Branding & Content: you can now personalize the branding, artwork, and content of their wheel, ensuring it aligns perfectly with your brand's identity.
- Customizable Reward Icons: Change the reward visuals to match your brand's look and feel.
- “No Luck” Reward Type: A new option is available to include a "no luck" reward for customers who don’t win on their spin.
- Campaign Preview: We’ve introduced the ability to preview your campaign before going live, allowing you to see exactly how it will look in real-time.
These features provide you with more control over the design and user experience, offering a fully customizable and visually appealing campaign.
6- Customizable Reward Names Across the Dashboard

Previously, you could only set unique reward names for each reward campaign. Now, we’ve streamlined the process by enabling reward name customization everywhere on the dashboard. Whether it’s for referral programs, levels, or other campaigns, you can now personalize the reward names across all touchpoints. This makes it easier to manage and maintain consistency throughout your rewards experience.
7- New User Roles and Enhancements to Analyst Role
We have introduced three new user roles to the Gameball dashboard:
- Developer – Provides access tailored for technical users managing integrations and API configurations.
- Marketer – Designed for marketing teams to manage campaigns, Notifications, Customers, and promotions.
- Customer Support Lite – A limited-access support role focused on assisting customers without full administrative privileges.
Additionally, we have made enhancements to the Analyst role to better align with our clients’ needs, ensuring a more refined and efficient experience for data analysis and reporting.
Other key highlights:
- View Redeemed and Refunded Points Details in Orders: We’re introducing a new enhancement to Gameball’s Activity Log, allowing clients to track refunded points within an order and view a detailed breakdown as well as details of the redeemed points.
- New "redeemInstructions" Field in Coupon APIs: Coupon-related APIs now include a "redeemInstructions" field to provide clear redemption guidance for customers. Language localization is supported to ensure instructions match the request's language.
